Guardians of the Mangroves is the marine and coastal ecosystem restoration delivery pathway within the Seed to Carbon Program. It focuses on mangrove rehabilitation, coastal stewardship, community participation and evidence-based monitoring.
A Seed to Carbon marine restoration pathway
This project is not a separate MDF programme. Its activities and results roll up to Seed to Carbon governance, finance, impact and reporting.
Mangrove Restoration
Nursery, planting, rehabilitation and survival monitoring in approved coastal restoration sites.
Community Stewardship
Participation, agreements, local structures and benefit-sharing arrangements where applicable.
Marine Evidence
Site records, field evidence, monitoring, ecosystem indicators and project reporting.
Donor Accountability
Funding, activities, expenditure and results remain attributable to the registered project and donor scope.
