MDF is committed to protecting children, young people, community members, volunteers, staff and other participants from abuse, exploitation, harassment and avoidable harm.
Design safer activities
Programmes should assess safeguarding risk, define supervision and use appropriate participant protections.
Raise a concern
Safeguarding concerns should have a confidential route that is separate from ordinary programme publicity or fundraising communication.
Protect people first
Reports should be handled by authorized persons with confidentiality, appropriate escalation and non-retaliation principles.
