Accessibility
MDF aims to make its public information and digital services usable by people with diverse abilities, devices, languages and connectivity conditions, reflecting the inclusion principles of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
Build for different ways of accessing information
MDF should work toward keyboard access, visible focus, sufficient contrast, meaningful headings and labels, alternative text, understandable instructions, responsive layouts and compatibility with assistive technologies.
Provide accessible alternatives
Important PDFs, forms, images, audio and video should include accessible structure, text alternatives, captions or another reasonable format where practicable.
Digital access is not the only route
Where a person cannot use an online form, MDF should offer a reasonable alternative contact or assisted process, subject to identity, security and safeguarding requirements.
Tell us about a barrier
Report an accessibility problem to info@mikoko.or.tz with the page, task, device or format involved. MDF will assess reasonable corrections or alternatives.
Local impact grows through long-term relationships.
